My session with Horsehead was very awesome. He is great at communicating and has a tremendous knowledge base that he works off and really at some great feedback for my massage to make it better next time. He had a really nice mix of modalities he put into his massage and it was a great and unique experience. His skills are top notch and I'd gladly go see him in his office for regular sessions and not just a trade. His stretching skills are pretty awesome and it was truly a pleasure to work with him.
I had a great session with Hoursehead. He was very friendly and inviting. His was professional, verbal and willing to share his knowledge of massage. I have had massages for 30 years. Most people learn a trade and that is good for the rest of their life. Horsehead has continued learning everything and anything to make him the outstanding massage therapist that he has become. I am truly humbled in exchanging with him. I just finished an exchange with Horsehead. What a great guy, He had me start the exchange and I thought I did a good job until I got on the table and he started. I have had one of the best massages I have ever had today. He explained everything he was doing just before he did that section my body. He kept checking to make sure the pressure was not to hard and he was spot on in his technique and pressure. Horsehead knows what he is doing and offers wellness and massage advise. He advised me to use more body weight rather than muscles to achieve the needed pressure and results so as not to get tired to quickly when massaging. He also showed me a movement to stretch muscles to relieve some of my back stress and pain. He was very helpful and certainly hope that we can exchange again.
At my request, Horsehead spent the entire session doing AIS stretching, which is one of modalities that he has had extensive training as a professional bodywork therapist. He knows his stuff, exactly how every muscle reacts to each stretch. The time passed too quickly.
wow. Horsehead is the real deal. he knows his anatomy really well too. calls out the muscle, properly stretches it out and then digs in. great touch and mind set. floated off the table and can't wait to land there again. he is a natural born healer.
Horsehead and I had an exchange at his cozy home. He is affable and very welcoming. His deep tissue massage technique is refined, smoothly delivered and with the perfect amount of pressure. Knows his anatomy and had a real passion for bodywork. I hope to exchange again. My whole being felt great all week.

I found this to be a memorable experience on several levels. Horsehead is an experienced massage therapist who provides a variety of styles while he works on you. His strokes build into a powerful, well placed dynamic force that releases tension and unlocks stress points. I requested extra pressure and that's what I got, he also pulled back when I yelled uncle. He was also generous with his feedback and advice on my massage. I realized why my massage technique leaves me exhausted and how to correct it. He was also astute in determining the condition of my body and helpful in his recommendations to correct problems, i.e. Specific stretches to unlock my tense back and my need to hydrate. In sum, an impressive encounter.
I was fortunate to have a massage exchange with Horsehead recently. He has a room in his house set aside specifically for massage therapy. He started out with some Active Isolated Stretching, which addressed various body issues I have, such as less-than-optimal range of motion. From that, he moved on to some deep-tissue massage, also to address body issues and for relaxation. The massage was at times intense, making me groan. And it left my body feeling like it had been through a good workout. This was the best massage I have received in years. Horsehead obviously knows what he is doing and is also gracious in offering wellness advice and massage critiques. I hope to see him again.
I have now had three great massage exchanges with Horsehead, each even better than the previous one. Horsehead is a licensed therapist with 14 years of experience. He does a great deep tissue massage that removes all the knots and pain. He is a tall, strong and very fit man who is able to give a strong and deep massage that really zeroes in on my trouble spots. For each exchange we scheduled at least three hours - taking turns for 1 1/2 hours each. That allowed plenty of time to really work through all the kinks. Horsehead is also very generous in sharing his knowledge. I am a much better therapist after these sessions with him. He showed me how to improve my deep massage, how to use my weight and some of his great techniques.
Horsehead has hosted all three exchanges and he has a great space to do it in. He is an incredibly thoughtful and respectful host. He has a space heater in his studio and keeps it very warm - so the client is always warm and comfortable. Each time he has had a glass of water poured and waiting for me in the studio. He checks for comfort level with the pressure and is very intuitive and attuned to the client.
Horsehead is also a licensed AIS practitioner and is very focused on healing and teaching the client to improve his own mobility and flexibility. With a warm and welcoming personality he is great healer. I hope to exchange with him again. Each one has been the highlight of the week!

What a pleasant experience. "Horsehead" has just graduated from massage therapy school (2/08). Already, his skills are better than many professionals who have been practicing for years. He has great palpation skills, a secure relaxing touch, a deep knowledge of how the body works, confident stretching techniques. He's down to earth, very real, respectful. Such a rare find. I received an outstanding massage on 2007-08-11. Great deep tissue work. It feels as if I have a new back --- long-entrenched pain just disappeared. This is a brilliant bodyworker with natural talent, a student already better than many professionals. Totally ethical.
