You already show how long a person has been a member and last time the signed in

Im not sure, i think it could be helpful for safety- but misleading for people who are safe and just are new

After reading the comments, all the reasons people said yes are terrible but some who said no made some good points about how it can be misleading anyway. Maybe it could be an option users can choose to share but there are already plenty of ways people can describe their experience level.

I've been a member for quite a few years, but I'm also ultra picky about whom I exchange with. With zero reviews, it looks like I never exchange, but that's not a true indicator of my skills and experience. I simply value my privacy more than I care about the number of exchanges I've had.

Account has been essentially inactive for years. Giving a date would be misleading and unnecessary.

Not really important. What is important is the membership status. Knowing who is free or silver would help in deciding on whether to purchase a gold or silver.

A lot of members have requested that we add account creation date to profiles. This is why we're asking this of the membership at large. Apparently, a lot of members do care.

Member’s duration on the site only reflects the loyalty to the site. I am more interested in current interests. No pre-judgement please! Don’t we already have enough pre judgement built in the profile requirements? Let’s think about what we all, as a community, want from being on this site and how we can improve the odds.

Just looking at the comments below made me think to not do it.

I really don't feel a need to know someone's account creation date. If the group really feels it necessary you could just put the number of years, or month and year.

I feel far more comfortable meeting with a long term member, than a newbie. A definite yes for me.
