Im not sure, i think it could be helpful for safety- but misleading for people who are safe and just are new

After reading the comments, all the reasons people said yes are terrible but some who said no made some good points about how it can be misleading anyway. Maybe it could be an option users can choose to share but there are already plenty of ways people can describe their experience level.
Yes, show as duration as in "Member for 8 years"
I feel far more comfortable meeting with a long term member, than a newbie. A definite yes for me.
Yes, please show year only
I would prefer to know if the person is an active member or not. Up to date photos and reviews are all one can go by really.
MassageExchange CommentMember's last active date is already shown. Look at the bottom right of any profile.

Account has been essentially inactive for years. Giving a date would be misleading and unnecessary.
Yes, show icon or text (e.g. "long-termer") instead of year
I've been a member for quite a few years, but I'm also ultra picky about whom I exchange with. With zero reviews, it looks like I never exchange, but that's not a true indicator of my skills and experience. I simply value my privacy more than I care about the number of exchanges I've had.

Helps showing how much I am interested in massage
Yes, please show year only
I think not alot of people care how long you on the site one way or the other
MassageExchange CommentA lot of members have requested that we add account creation date to profiles. This is why we're asking this of the membership at large. Apparently, a lot of members do care.
Yes, show as duration as in "Member for 8 years"
They do on Ebay
I don't care either way
Not really important. What is important is the membership status. Knowing who is free or silver would help in deciding on whether to purchase a gold or silver.

Because I may have the account for many years but only logged in 3 times (and itll look like ive been on for a long time but I wasnt)

Just looking at the comments below made me think to not do it.

Member’s duration on the site only reflects the loyalty to the site. I am more interested in current interests. No pre-judgement please! Don’t we already have enough pre judgement built in the profile requirements? Let’s think about what we all, as a community, want from being on this site and how we can improve the odds.

i agree with others, posting would only lead to a pre-judgement one way or the other and I think it would show whether it is someone that is serious vs. someone just thinking about it and might not ever follow through.
Yes, show as duration as in "Member for 8 years"
I really don't feel a need to know someone's account creation date. If the group really feels it necessary you could just put the number of years, or month and year.

we can always ask in conversation... posting would only lead to a pre-judgement one way or the other
Yes, please show year, month only
I’m fine with the duration option as well.

Longevity is not the only significant indication of trustworthiness
Yes, show as duration as in "Member for 8 years"
