September 2015 I feel that I am being a bit unfair by assessing the excellent Rainbow 1963 as a 4-star Massage Enthusiast. I have had a really lovely, very long, very varied exchange with him, and I am already planning another as a 4-hand exchange. He is good now, but I feel that with just a bit more knowledge and experience of the 'boring' basics of massage he could become something exceptional. I hope that many of you will swap with him - he has a lovely comfortable place which is easy to get to - and give him lots of opportunities to hone his skills. In my opinion he is one of relatively few 'gifted amateurs' who has the strength and individuality not to be contaminated by a formal massage course. 4-stars now, at the high end - and I look forward to saying "5-stars" before too long.
November 2015 This man has really benefitted from the swaps and experience he has gained since my earlier review. Now a resounding 5 stars - and I want to swap with him again before too long.
It's an art to make someone you've never exchanged a massage with feel comfortable, but it seems to come easily to Rainbow1963. As many before me have said, he is a great guy. Although he has no formal massage training, I liked his unhurried approach, the warm oil, maintaining contact when moving around the table and the general flow throughout - hopefully we will be able to exchange again.
The 4 star rating does not reflect the quality of the exchange, only that I believe with more confidence and exchanges, Rainbow1963 will believe he is worth the 5 stars that are inside waiting to come out!
Rainbow offers a seriously good, unhurried full-body massage on a proper table. He received me in his beautifully decorated apartment on Friday evening - what a great way to start the weekend!
We exchanged (this was the first time I had done so), he was very patient with me and seemed to appreciate my experimental techniques. Look forward to a repeat session soon :)
Rainbow is a great guy and felt totally relaxed on our first meeting.He was engaging and we managed a good 2.5hrs swop. I learnt some new techniques and nearly fell a sleep as I was so relaxed. Hope to have a meet again.
I had my first ever massage exchange today with Rainbow1963. I could not have had a better person to help me over my first-timer anxieties. Pre-session arrangements were made easily and without any pressure. From the moment I met him in person, I felt at ease. Rainbow1963 is warm, friendly, reassuring, and respectful of needs and boundaries. He has a firm but gentle technique - and one set of movements just moves smoothly into the next. He is very humble about his ability but I think he is a natural - his massage is intuitive. I can strongly recommend Rainbow1963: for his hospitality, his personality and - of course - his wonderful massage.
When I met Rainbow I felt immediately at home in his friendly place. We had a very chat while having tea- He has a very kind and warm personality which came through in the way he gives a massage. He has a very flowing and soothing technique, and although we only did each other's back, we were both totally relaxed. It was a very pleasant meeting and experience and I hope to do it again.
At last I met Rainbow1963 today after a couple of aborted attempts, that were all my fault, but it was well worth the wait. I guessed from our email exchanges he was a kind considerate guy which turned out to be spot on. Immediately on meeting him I knew we were going to have a good time together. We chatted as if we had know each other for ages, very comfortable in each other’s company.
Once he began to massage me I could feel his caring attentive personality come through in his massage technique, I felt immediately nurtured, relaxed and safe in his hands. He has a good flow and what he claims to lack in formal training he more than makes up for with intuition. He is modest about his abilities without cause. We’ve all been there, thinking because we are not trained that maybe something is lacking, well as far as Rainbow1963 is concerned that is not true.
The best ‘technically correct’ massage is not necessarily the best massage, the intention, character and sensitivity of the masseur can be felt through their hands and I personally find this extremely important for a successful outcome. Rainbow1963 has a warmth and charm that I felt through the ebb and flow of his massage.
I highly recommend you spend time with this lovely guy, I would certainly like to see him again.
