An excellent exchange! I received a really empathetic, thorough, flowing and well delivered massage. Humble Massage has his own characteristic style which he is able to adapt well to changing body responses. He is also quick to learn new techniques which he incorporates seamlessly into his marvellous repertoire. With training, and he has the capacity and inner strength for his style not to be 'spoiled' by conventionality, he would not deliver a significantly better massage but he would probably find it easier and more efficient. I really enjoyed this swap, both giving and receiving. Highly Recommended.
This man is a really skilled and intuitive deliverer of relaxing and energising touch. His empathy, concentration, and innovative approach produced a memorable swap of the very highest quality. He was a marvellous example of how 'light is might' as his slow and gentle strokes were particularly powerful.. Very highly recommended; but do make sure that you have plenty of time - we tentatively planned to take around two hours, and only when we had completed the swap did it become apparent that over three and half hours had elapsed. Sheer bliss!
This man is a star amongst bodywork enthusiasts ! He performs a deeper, more thorough, and utterly enjoyable, massage better than most of the professionals that I have encountered. Inadvertently I handicapped him at the beginning of the swap by receiving on a massage table; he is used to floor working and when I was there for the second portion of the swap he was able to relax and get even better! Although retired from dance performance he still has the strength and balanced physique of a dancer which makes his movements powerful and rhythmical; and he is a joy to massage too. Win - Win. This man deserves 6 stars - but I can only give 5.
Although relatively new to massage and only part-way through his second, Sports Massage, course this man has a good theoretical and practical knowledge of his new enthusiasm.
This swapping session was one of the most 'TECHNICAL' and practical that I have ever had, and the physical application of the knowledge he has already acquired was really impressive. His questions too were well formulated and demonstrated his accurate appreciation of what he had been taught so far and what he knows still remains to be discovered.
On a practical level his assessments were thorough and accurate, his massage techniques were well chosen, effectively applied, and not too uncomfortable. However, as is inevitable in the course of learning, the overall impression was not particularly free-flowing; that will come with time and experience.
The swap was easy to arrange, he is close to a rail station and parking seemed to be readily available. I am looking forward to continuing to support his case-study work.
I rate this man as Highly Recommended as a bodywork student even although he will get even better with more coursework and practice. The most important factor in this assessment, apart from the comments above, is that he clearly has a love of the craft and a determination to find and treat all the areas where there is impaired functionality .
Blocker is great fun to swap with - he is an attentive and innovative masseur, and he learns fast. I want to swap with him again, probably after a short interval so that I can experience any new stuff that he has learned. I would ask you all to give him the opportunity by offering swaps in different styles. He is also very appreciative of the massage given. Slightly ungraciously, I will assess as 4-stars - Recommended; that is because I am confident he can get even better and I will have the pleasure, quite soon, of assessing as 5-stars.
This man has a very competent and individual massage style. He is energetic, empathetic, and enthusiastic, and he picks up new ideas very fast indeed. Already well up to the standard for me to say "Recommended" he will, with more experience and swaps with different people in different styles of massage, quickly become outstanding. I hope he gets a good flow of high-quality swaps as I want to swap with him again to experience all the new things he will have learned. Recommended!
I enjoyed my exchange with S11! It was arranged with great efficiency and minimum fuss, and he arrived right on time! A good through massage each way with a good variety of styles. This fit young man is already a good masseur and with more practise and further swaps easily has the capacity to become excellent. So, Recommended now 4-stars; with the potential to deserve 5-stars in he future.
I had the pleasure of a massage exchange with untouchable this morning. He says that he is much more used to receiving massage than giving it; nevertheless he performed a good, powerful, and deep massage and was clearly keen to give it his best effort. He is a powerfully built and fit man but relaxes really well with the deeper movements. untouchable will clearly benefit from more practise and exchanges (I have suggested that he consider 3-way exchanges as the fastest way of learning outside formal courses) and I hope that lots of you will swap with him; I certainly want to do so again when I have the opportunity. Recommended, and has capacity for significant improvement.
September 2015 I feel that I am being a bit unfair by assessing the excellent Rainbow 1963 as a 4-star Massage Enthusiast. I have had a really lovely, very long, very varied exchange with him, and I am already planning another as a 4-hand exchange. He is good now, but I feel that with just a bit more knowledge and experience of the 'boring' basics of massage he could become something exceptional. I hope that many of you will swap with him - he has a lovely comfortable place which is easy to get to - and give him lots of opportunities to hone his skills. In my opinion he is one of relatively few 'gifted amateurs' who has the strength and individuality not to be contaminated by a formal massage course. 4-stars now, at the high end - and I look forward to saying "5-stars" before too long.
November 2015 This man has really benefitted from the swaps and experience he has gained since my earlier review. Now a resounding 5 stars - and I want to swap with him again before too long.
Kass13 is brimming with enthusiasm, and natural talent for massage; his technique is idiosyncratic, observant, and very very effective. From the first touch one feels both relaxed and energised, with a flood of strong sensations and the receptivity to really enjoy them. A perfect illustration of how the very best relaxation massages are an art, and the 'science' of standard moves is entirely irrelevant. Although we both have busy lives and it has taken some time to achieve this swap, it was all very business-like and straightforward to arrange. He too responds well to receiving massage - I want to swap with this man again. Highly recommended
