What can I say, other than whoa, I was duly impressed w/ vincent333's technique & prowess w/ massage, I do not why I was due to the fact that we had established that we're both Sacred Brothers through CBE...which is practically a prerequisite to being a good masseur. Which vincent333 was!
We set up a session to which he was right on time considering that he hadta drive about 35mi to get here. He suggested that we start w/ a long hug, which I do not offer to paying massage clients as that would be crossing boundaries w/ them, but w/ vincent333 it was endearing, establishing trust, not to mention very calming. He went on the table first. He complained of moderate Pain in his gluteal region which I tested for sciatica & piriformis syndrome getting a positive result for sciatica through my assessment....which massage therapy cannot treat. :-( So I gave him a nice slow swedish massage. Once I finished on his back-side, he suggested that we switch w/ me on the table having my back worked on then to switch again after my back was done working his front side then switching back to me on my front side. I have never done an exchange that way before. I liked it. It kept techniques that I wanted to try on him fresh in my mind...not to mention just feeling great & not having to wait a full 90min to get touched! He has a true trained touch! :-) His strokes were long, smooth, done w/ intention, but not too deep. I thoroughly enjoyed him working on me. I hope to schedule another session w/ him...AND SOON! ;-) Thanks much, vincent333!! |

| vincent333 and I met recently for a really great exchange! He has been a student of massage for several years now and practices bikram yoga. His massage strokes were imbued with a wonderful zen-like calm that really got me centered and relaxed quickly: I didn't care what he did, as long as he didn't stop! I faded in and out of consciousness more than once and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxed and unhurried encounter. As a man who usually likes deep tissue work, I was pleasantly surprised that his gentle and light technique was so satisfying to me. He was similarly a pleasure to work on giving me good cues and feedback. I highly recommend vincent333 as a masseur to anyone, and we are planning another exchange as soon as we can. | |

vincent333. We had a fair amount of email in a short span, but I think it was more our mutual desire not to inconvenience one another (me being in a hotel, him just moving into a new apartment, and so a lot of unknowns) than anything else. Quite friendly and communicative actually. We met briefly the evening before (Friday) and arranged to meet for massage the next day. A very sociable way to set things up.
Beautiful apartment building. He was just moving in, so furniture was still being acquired. But since I PREFER to give a massage on a bed rather than a table, the new Tempur-Pedic was a very nice surprise — and all the “environment” that was necessary. vincent333 is a serene guy. (I’m pretty calm myself, so I don’t say that lightly.) He is an agreeable individual in every respect: his demeanor, his conversation, his massage. It is a very pleasant thing, having agreed beforehand to administer a Receive-Only massage, to find oneself RECEIVING not just a bit of friendly reciprocation, but a complete, great massage — just as thorough as the one I’d been giving him. (We swapped back and forth several times during our session.) This wasn’t out of any sense of “obligation” but was clearly because he enjoys the giving. He truly communicates CARE with his hands as well. He quickly identified my “this week’s problem spot” in my calves (due to unavoidable poor posture courtesy of my hotel room’s makeshift office setup) — and his bodywork provided that “good pain” that brings relief to (self-)abused muscle. vincent333 knows his anatomy — and THAT is a very good thing. Sciatica and a little tenderness along his iliotibial band (the two pains can be similar but have different causes), made me (I have to admit) rather shy about exactly how to proceed. When I “lost my way” he was able to direct me to proper locations and technique to make things right — so he contributed to the quality and delivery of the massage he was receiving on a much higher level than providing mere feedback — which is pretty remarkable. I showed him how to increase his leverage and accuracy while reducing his fatigue; he showed me how to integrate the isolated aspects of my bodywork (I tend to section-off and compartmentalize far too much) into a ministration to the whole. Worthwhile education for both of us — and immediate opportunity to implement. He showed me out — he had to make his first trip to the food market (he REALLY was JUST moving in!) — and said “I hope we stay in touch.” Genuine from start to finish. A wonderful experience. |

Vincent has a definite gift for massage. During our seesion, he was very intuitve about just the right amounts of pressure, and knew just the right problem spots that needed work. He very much wanted to be sure that he gave the best massage possible, always asking about amount of pressure, where I needed attention, and the like. I felt like a new man after our meeting. If you can meet with Vincent, you'll be very glad you did.
Also, as an aside, an incredibly nice guy, too. |
