afg is well versed in massage. My favorite part was feeling afg warm hands become slower as he became more in tune with my muscles. afg also gave me a few pointers after the massage as I asked!
After some long needed body work I was very fortunate to find afg and his healing hands!
Not only did he work out my problem areas but continued on with helpful tips on daily movements to keep me feeling good and in better shape. afg has a very gentle, kind, intuitive, healing approach and generously shares it!

afg is well practiced with a sense of deep tissue needs for the person receiving a massage. The room is comfortable and he puts the receiver at ease. He was able to focus on the ongoing problems I have in my back, arm and shoulder.
I had the pleasure of getting an amazing massage from afg. I stopped in Prescott on my up to Flagstaff, for a 2.5 hour session. Needless to say this man knows what he is doing. Anyone near the Prescott area should connect with him. He has a beautiful home and a wonderful massage setup in a separate room. Beautiful music added to the ambiance He offered me a drink when I got there, and offered me lunch before I left. Now that is a gentleman and a scholar who knows how to be a host. Highly recommended. I had a work related injury as a massage therapists for weeks now. When I visited afg's profile with Awesome reviews, I knew I had to contact him and set appointment for a therapeutic massage exchange even though he lived over 70 miles away. afg, immediately answered my email. A few days later, I had experienced his Muscle Release massage technique, which was awesome! afg, being a good man and host, and knowing my type of injury he offered to only massage me that day Priceless!!!
After his muscle releasing technique I felt much, better, I could move better, a neck and shoulder injury like mine takes time to heal and he, with only a one hour massage that day made me feel 80% better.
A week later afg, hosted me again, for a trade, this time for over 90 minute massage, put it this way today with only to short visits to afg'S beautiful home for therapeutic treatment I'm 100% better.

This gentleman is amazing! Not only did he give me a very relaxing, aligning massage, but also went over anatomy and the reasons why certain body parts hurt! He is defienitly a must go to if you wanna include spirituality in your massage!
Had a recent exchange with afg. He had a nice, clean & serene space for massage. Was a great experience from initial contact through nice exchange on his table. He is very knowledgeable in his craft.
Alan was great, he made me feel very comfortable and the room was very warm and relaxing from the start. The massage was perfect and loosened me up alot more than the deep tissue massages i get at the Chiroprator. I overall enjoyed the experience and his easy going personality, would definitely recommend.

Alan was the first person I saw through massage Exchange. He was very courteous, wanting to know my expectations and boundaries before starting.
The session wasn't just a massage. He helped relieve areas of my body where I had chronic pain and showed me what I can do on my own to prevent and treat as well.
I got to experience what the reviews teased about in a swap with afg. What an amazing experience. We had mutual investments in sense development and energy work, so it felt kinda like old-home week, even though we'd never met. Magic happens when the intention to LISTEN (whether though your ears or body) initiates expression (again...mouth, hands, etc.) afg has wonderful technique where he'll work on an area, all while sensing tension or resistance. His work is like a lovely conversation...facilitating relationship--within the body. If you're invested in bodywork, you owe it to yourself and your practice to swap with someone like afg. You leave not only having a brilliant massage, but with a different awareness of your body, and what bodywork can provide for a truly well being. Mahalo afg...it's a swap I'll never forget, and I look forward to our reconnection.

WOW is all I can say about Alan, he is a kind warm soul who greets you with a big hug at the door. I have to agree with several of the other reviewers; you need to give Alan a massage first because once he gets you on the table you will melt and be useless in a good way.
I have seen Alan twice: July 3rd of this year and last night. I travel to LA for business and happened to connect with Alan in July. He graciously met with me in the evening of July 3rd. He gave me on of the best massages I have ever had. Alan took the time to connect with me through words first after our hug and then through touch. Alan is a giving person it is very evident that he loves to give massages. Once he started I faded of into another world of relaxation and pleasure. I lost track of time face down on his table. He has a special room set aside in his house for massages. Great music at the right volume, darkened with just candle light for the room.
On the first meeting we started late so I did not have a chance for an exchange and last night he massaged me first, he gives such an amazing massage that I was soo relaxed I could not return the gift. It was just that a gift of touch and connection. He did some stretching with me which really loosened my hips, legs and ankles up. I am grateful for the time we spent together.
Please take this away from my review: Alan is a experience masseur, who is not clinical but rather in-tuned to the whole body. He is a giving person who wants you to have a chance to let go and have your body to recover. A man of any age should place Alan on the top of the list to exchange massages with when in the area.

First of all, you definitely need to offer Alan the first massage. Seriously. Secondly, everything written in all of his other reviews are absolutely true, so I'm not going to repeat what everybody else has said. This was my very first massage Exchange and I mean never choose to do this again with anyone else. Oops I will repeat other reviews saying that this indeed was magical and it was strangely spiritual. It was perfection. The whole ride I spent driving from Long Beach to Santa Monica I was very nervous, but all that melted away as we greeted each other with a big hug. I won't say how long we spent together but he spent incredible amount of time selflessly and tirelessly working to to make my body feel better. I arrive nervous and truly left with a new friend. I will always look forward to our next visits. You will too. Ask to see the younger picture of him. OMG
