Akaten is a warm and welcoming person whose high ratings are well earned. He’s tall, handsome, well built and a wonderful host. His deep tissue approach to my neck, back and hips was deeply therapeutic, while at the same time being soothing, and perfect for getting me sorted and restored from the long flight West and lingering effects of the jet-lag I’d been feeling. He is also a great instructor. He was thoughtful and generous in his feedback about my approach and technique, giving me valuable guidance on how to better achieve a therapeutic outcome. I spent a lovely few hours with Akaten this week and was treated to a wonderful and thorough massage. He is a kind and calm fellow, that puts you at ease right away. We chatted freely and about interesting things and the time seemed to pass quickly and with ease.
He is very knowledgeable about massage and the body. I would recommend spending some time with him, and hope to do just that when I return to the Seattle area.
one word: wow. I cycled 10.5mi from the ferry dock to his office space for a truly wonderful experience. Therapeutic in nature he went very deep all over exspecially my legs/back which were giving me a fit due to the cycling. He does amazing adductor work as well... Planning a repeat session @ my place soon, too!
I received a fantastic massage from Akaten. He is a true professional who does great work. We met in his office which was comfortable and clean and easy to find. His knowledge of muscles and energy systems is clear in the way that he works. I left feeling great. He was able to deal with some of my chronic issues quite effectively.
