RobGarden is a dependable and respectable gentleman who provides a quality massage. I very much enjoyed our time together. We started out with him on the table first. He is a good receiver who verbalizes his pleasure and appreciation. Once it was my turn, I was very relaxed and had an overall quality massage. Rob used a comfortable medium pressure. I had a great exchange with GT recently. In our conversations prior to meeting, he had expressed interest in learning new strokes and improving his massage techniques. Upon meeting, I was glad to demonstrate and explain many techniques which I use regularly and the rationale behind each technique. First I massaged him, working on his back, chest, extremities and especially the neck and upper shoulders which were his main complaint. His muscles responded well to moderate focused pressure. I then asked GT to observe me as I performed the same techniques on my partner who gladly made himself available as a demo model. GT performed the strokes in tandem with me, so we performed a very pleasant 4-handed massage on our spokes-model. GT is a quick learner so he then gave me a solo massage, which felt to me mindful , competent and nurturing. Demonstrating to me once again that the Intent to provide comforting and healing touch is more important than mere technique. GT is a friendly and engaging guy, and I would jump at the chance to exchange with him again. Don't miss him if he happens to be in your area!
It would be hard to find a more friendly and congenial exchange partner than Jim. I recently had the pleasure of trading sessions with him. He said that to facilitate the flow of positive energies, he insisted on exchanging rather than him just receiving which I had originally suggested. Jim has obviously received some good bodywork or training in the past because he has some excellent techniques. He used firm pressure and compressions on numerous areas of my back and shoulders with more flowing strokes on the legs and then used pressure points on the feet, all of which left me feeling extremely relaxed. Jim is also a great receiver, being very responsive to getting deep pressure on the back and other areas. Highly recommended. I look forward to trading with Jim again soon.
I have received truly enjoyable massages from G. We have exchanged a couple more times since our initial meeting and the massages have been equally rewarding. G. uses a strong firm pressure and covers every tense area of the body numerous times. He generously worked over the time period to provide a profoundly comforting massage. In fact, after he massaged me first in our initial trade I was so relaxed that I made a habit of massaging him first at the next trade just so I wasn't too relaxed to function! G. is willing to learn and apply new strokes. He is flexible with his schedule and is a man of many interests and experiences which has been fun getting to know him during the exchanges. I received an excellent massage from WT. Although he stated he had no formal training, he has learned lots of great techniques from receiving massages. The pressure was firm, medium to deep, and very soothing. He paid attention to many of my problem areas, shoulders, legs and feet, and he’s generous with his time. He got me so relaxed that I drifted in and out of that wonderful massage trance that occurs during a good session. Flow was a gracious host and I enjoyed our exchange very much. He is extensively trained in a variety of techniques and used a lot of stretching and muscle compressions which felt very comfortable and relaxing. Pressure medium. I received an excellent massage from R. His pressure ranged from moderate to deep, with a good variety of strokes throughout the back, legs and chest. One of the best parts of the session was the continuity of motion, like one long stroke acround the body from start to end. R. is friendly, knowledgeable and proficient, and his work is a professional quality experience. I look forward to more massage exchanges soon!
I had a very pleasant massage exchange with DrFriend. It is apparent from the massage session he gives, that he is has had some very good training in the Esalen style of massage and he is also well practiced. This relaxing form of massage specializes in long, flowing body strokes, and DrF intersperses these with specific strokes focused on the many different body parts which need work: legs arms chest and back. The great part is that DrF will go back to these specific areas again and again, which gives a very thorough and relaxing session. He also has a very firm and confident touch, which allows me to relax on the table and enjoy. I hope we can exchange again soon.
I'm glad that jonn4 was able to schedule time for an exchange, it was a great massage experience. A very friendly and knowledgeable man, jonn4 loves giving and receiving quality massages. Although he claims no formal training, he has certainly been paying good attention to his trade partners and has learned a lot of comforting and effective strokes. He intuitively seems to sense, for instance, the physiological principle (known at the Arndt-Schulz law) that "Light pressure increases sensation, while heavy pressure retards sensation". He was attentive and responsive to requests which I needed in giving different strokes for numerous high tension areas. Look forward to trading again soon!
If you have a chance to trade massages with Johnny, grab it! He gives a great relaxing session, with pressure that is firm and deep without being painful. His years of experience show in his knowledge of anatomy, so he worked out all the high tension areas. A friendly, fun guy with great massage techniques, I felt like I was floating off the table at the end! Looking forward to my next trade with him!
