I've now had two exchanges with friendlyinbrooklyn. Great guy, great touch! He had no problem coming to my place in Bed-Stuy as he knows my area and the transportation modes available. Both sessions were a wonderful and totally relaxing experience. His touch is very intuitive, sensitive and informed. In massage, one either has the aptitude or not. A license doesn't always equal a quality massage. friendlyinbrooklyn is not licensed, but he knows how to do more than just give a "rub-down" and he's totally open to suggestions and has no problem asking if there is more he can do, checking in about appropriate pressure, etc. I look forward to future sessions with him!
chelsea10001 was a wonderful exchange experience. He's very personable and knows how to vary his touch based on what he feels. I received a better massage from him than some who claim to have more experience. He has strong hands and really worked out some knots in my rhomboid/shoulder area that REALLY needed it. I look forward to another session.
J is a very personable guy and excellent massage therapist! His 9 yrs experience was totally apparent during our exchange as he worked from one end of my body to the other in a seamless flow utilizing Swedish,deep tissue, trigger point work, muscle stretches and and shiatsu points. I was totally energized and relaxed at the same time. Great job! Looking forward to more sessions with him.
All I can say is "WOW!" Aptly named, "Flowman" I was skillfully and methodically massaged, stretched, energized and genuinely INSPIRED..by this man. That he also praised my work on him is a compliment of which I am very proud. We have different approaches and I was very grateful to be the recipient of his many years of experience that I will incorporate and pass on! Looking forward to a regular trade!
Gary is living proof that one doesn't need to be certified/licensed to be able to give a great massage. He also possesses this wonderfully laid-back personality that immediately made me very comfortable and at home in his space. After some schedule jostling on my part, Serenitymassage and I worked out how to meet up and I have to say that it was well worth our efforts. We felt comfortable w/each other immediately and he possesses a wonderfully relaxed sense of humor. He used some great techniques that I will definitely pass on to my clients. He works from his heart and you can feel that. A gentle soul whose touch is confident, firm & deep yet knows just when and where to ease his touch. I felt totally refreshed and will gladly exchange with him the next time he's in town. Highly recommended!
I have to say that jaybeenyc may refer to himself as a novice, but he KNOWS exactly what he's doing. I was completely relaxed immediately. He's gifted with a wonderful tactile sensitivity that some "professionals" should have. It's also true that he has a great set-up: table, candles, music and a fantastic view of the city in the evening. It took us a while to finally exchange due to both of our schedules, but it was so well worth the wait. I look forward to the next exchange.

My exchange with totouch2 was simply amazing. He is one of the most personable and humble people I've met. I was immediately at ease in his presence. Using a combination of Swedish, deep tissue and range of motion and energy work, my body felt his 25 years experience. I felt totally refreshed and energized. I am looking forward to our next exchange before he goes back to Florida!
I really enjoyed my exchange with Chaff. He has a great personality and I felt at ease with him right away. Chaff, being a big, husky in-shape guy, knew just the right amount of pressure to use. The massage he gave was very good and I look forward to exchanging with him again! In the interim, we discovered that we live in the same neighborhood and that's always an added plus!
parlo is a very pleasant and personable guy. His present techniques are Swedish and deep tissue. His quality of touch, concern for your comfort and attentiveness to my sore spots made for a very rewarding session.
