I don't often write reviews as I frequently think they're a bit insincere, I might be a little cynical as it seems everyone here is fantastic (can that really be true?), in any case I'm happy to make an exception. I had an excellent exchange with san45, a very polite, respectful and courteous individual, with excellent technique and knowledge. I was warmly welcomed, made to feel safe (I find trust is important) and left feeling rejuvenated. I'd highly recommend and look forward to a future exchange.
I met san45 yesterday evening at his place, after he offered me a massage treatment earlier that day. He walked up and met me part way from the station, which was kind. We chatted easily for a while and then he started the treatment, with me lying on rugs on the floor. These were comfortable, and allowed him to perform some deeper tissue work on my back and legs, which was wonderful. He used a combination of light, therapeutic strokes, and deeper, harder work using his forearms and elbows. The massage felt wonderful, and I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Overall an extremely enjoyable experience.
I met up with san65 recently after a long time of trying, and it was well worth it! He was very friendly and welcoming, even though it was quite a late session, and although we had chatted by email and then recently by phone, it was good to talk with him in person and get to know him more properly. He worked on me first, using a good amount of oil, and had quite a fast yet relaxing style. The highlight was when he worked on my chest and abdomen from behind while I sat up - I've never experienced that before but it was very effective. By his own admission he hasn't been able to put in much practice recently from the group classes he has attended in the past, so I would give him four stars on that basis, but five stars for his friendly, attentive company, and I would happily exchange again. I had a great massage exchange with San65. Although not clear from his profile, he has been practising massage for many years. It shows in his technique and confident approach and I hope we get to exchange again.
I had a very pleasant exchange with san65 yesterday. He is very welcoming, sociable and easy to be around, good company and gave a very good massage treatment, which alternated between strong and light pressure throughout, consisting of a good range of movements. I'm glad I was able to learn one or two techniques from him. I hope we can have another swap very soon.
