Have just spend a delightful 3 hours in the company of Joan. Joan is a very well travelled, well versed woman who puts you at ease from the off. Having chatted for a while Joan massaged me and I have to say it was heaven, her slow strokes, with just the right amount of pressure, sent waves of enjoyment through my body. Unfortunately my reciprocal massage was nowhere near as good as Joan's but she seemed to enjoy it and offered constructive feed back on my technique. The darker side of me thought about not reviewing Joan in an attempt keep her for myself but her credentials are all there in her reviews, and they are spot on. You will not be disappointed with Joan.

Joan and I had an exchange yesterday, and it was a great experience. We had been exchanging emails for more than a month trying to arrange a meeting, but work schedules, being out of the country, and finding a convenient time was a challenge. As can be read in many reviews on Joan, she is a very interesting person, and as it turned out, she and I had visited common locations, but the work performed was quite different.
The massage session was very good. Joan has a very focused style, using hand techniques that match the part of the body she is working. I found her style very stimulating, relaxing, and enjoyable. When she finished with me, I was so relaxed, I needed a little recovery time before I massaged her. I believe I received good marks for my delivery.
Upon finishing, and before we said our goodbyes, we agreed that we should connect again for another session. I will welcome that, hopefully sooner than later. I highly recommend exchanging with Joan.

This was a really good first massage exchange for me and I'm grateful to Joanc for making it so pleasant and easy. From the unscented almond oil to the massage table you feel straightaway as if you are in experienced hands. As others have said, I have had professional massages that were not up to Joanc's standard. The touch is just right and like others I almost felt myself drift away. I was quite nervous massaging Joanc but she put me at my ease and was kind enough to say that I had a nice touch. So I feel very encouraged by her comments. She took great care to create a calm and relaxing setting, with a personally-compiled music tape (no whales or wind chimes, 'proper music' as she pointed out). warming towels, a litre of non-scented almond kernel oil, glasses of water -- and a magnificent, well-upholstered professional massage table. The lights were dimmed. She asked me to be massaged first on the understanding that after the experience I'd be too relaxed to safely travel home. This proved correct: she has a confident and caring touch that, in my case certainly, combines pleasure and therapy quite perfectly. I arrived at Joan's door on the recommendation of one of my exchanges and was made extremely welcome by this delightful lady. Forget that she sees herself as an amateur her massage is superb, relaxing me then varying pressures before tantalising with the lightest of strokes. Far better than many professional therapists I have encountered.

What can I say great, wonderful just what I needed, soon as I arrived I was made at ease with Joan's caring thoughtful nature. The massage I guess this is what you need to know, well the whole experience was lovely her moves of Lomi Lomi style with a few added tones from Swedish and others worked wonders. After reading more than 35 excellent reviews about joanc53, I thought I had to try and the experience was even better than I thought. We had a nice chat before the massage, being very welcome and kind. She had a massage table, really comfortable and strong. The music was perfect, soft and relaxing, the lights were dimmed a little. The massage itself was superb. I specially liked how she flowed from one movement to the next, there was never a break, as if all the massage was made of just one very long stroke. She has developped a very good routine, with perfect simetry, so once she's done a side of the body you know exactly what to expect in the other.
So, a wonderful experience, highly highly recommended.
