Studied reflexology as a diagnostic tool, did foot and back massage as a young monk (it was the only touch allowed.) Went out into the world and studied therapeutic touch early on, anatomy & physiology in college. Volunteered massage as a hospice worker; everyone appreciates touch with non-judgmental regard. When I moved to a resort community on Orcas Is.,WA which has draconian punishments for non-licensed practitioners; I had a clientele of licensed body workers who wanted to trade. Learned techniques in several modalities from licensed practitioners across a wide range (except draping, barely competent at that.) Kept up my skills through exchange, and developed great hand strength as a gardener and traditional plasterer. Now that I have a desk job, I want to keep my working with my hands. So I enjoy challenges; large guys,construction laborers, gym rats, habitual muscle tensions patterns, hairy men. Occasionally, we'll be able to access hidden emotional loading that you've carried, if you want. "Not now" is always appropriate to say. I'm a good confidant. I enjoy rich, meaningful conversation across a wide range of topics including; energy patterns, traditional modes, and alternative understandings of the relative and absolute. I appreciate feedback while in process. I do like to talk, but I can be quiet if appropriate.
