I originally turned to massage due to a back condition, but soon saw all the other benefits. It's definitely the best way to disconnect from the world & I find giving a massage to be just as relaxing as receiving, in some ways better as It focuses my mind on someone else's needs.
Although not qualified in massage I have been exchanging massages with a friend (now moved away) for many years. I did consider professional training with the a particular interest in the use of trigger points but a tendon injury prevented me from doing so & work has now taken me in a different direction.
I would prefer a regular massage partner as while my back has healed it will never be perfect & I can also experience muscle pain as the aftermath of ME. I can promise empathy with anyone experiencing similar ailments & could provide a lot of useful feedback for any student in need of a practice body.
I'm based in Norfolk, but travel is no problem & being self-employed I can be very flexible.
