I'm an active man in his 40s, who enjoys, good food, company and wine. I practise Shiatsu and Swedish massage and play golf and tennis, cycle and walk a lot. My Shiatsu training was in the early 90s.
I'm not concerned about the level of experience or capabilities of massage partners, practice is the only thing that will actually improve techniques and I spent a lot of time being a 'dummy' for various classes in the 80s and 90s. I am quite happy to be used as a practice dummy, within a reasonable distance.
I also find giving a massage to be an excellent work-out but I'm okay with going second, even if you do have magic fingers and I'm melting into the bench or floor.
