As you enter the room, you already know that this experience will be different. The room is warm and inviting, the lights are dim, music softly fills the background, and the flickering of candles give the feeling of an outdoor campfire. The light scent of lavender fills the air. As you lay on your back, you notice the stars of the night sky fading in and out of view as the aurora floats by in hues of blue and green. Your eyes become heavy and unfocused as relaxation begins to set in. You take a big breath in and give out a sigh as you continue to let go of stress and tension. Breathing is easy. The air is filtered, purified, and humidified. I give you a few moments here before beginning the massage. Your feet are covered to keep them warm. Then, you will calmly roll onto your stomach, your head nestled in the padded face cradle as I begin. You feel the warm sensation of oil being gently poured onto your skin. As I work, you sink deeper into relaxation and your muscles begin to let go. I pay close attention to what your body tells me and adjust my pressure so that you are never in pain. If deep tissue work is needed, I slowly work into the muscle, taking my time to ensure that the muscle fully relaxes. Through a variety of techniques, your needs will be met with the utmost care. After I finish with your neck, shoulders, back, buttocks, and legs, you will gently roll over and I will begin again on your front. You may once again glimpse the night sky above you or you may simply stay in your state of bliss as each muscle receives the attention it needs. After about an hour and a half, the massage is complete but you are free to lay on the table or mat for as long as you like. A warm, inviting shower awaits you. While the coconut oil has nourished and moisturized your skin, it is time to shower off and get on with the day, relaxed, but energized, calm, but clear in thought. I also enjoy receiving massages but generally don't like to trade on the same day. That's up to you however.
