I come from a yoga background and use assisted yoga postures to pre-work the body before a deep and powerful massage that uses a combination of Shiatsu, Tai Massage and deep tissue oil massage to get in deeper than you might expect. It is not enough to release muscles, if you don't also realign the energetic body then the knots will just reappear a couple of days later.
