I have just completed a rigorous massage apprenticeship and am starting my own practice. I wanted to branch out from my Chemical Engineering career to do something more spontaneous, intuitive, and hands-on, providing a more direct benefit for individuals. The human body is a temple, fearfully and wonderfully made. Contact with it should be intentional and with purpose, accomplished with respect and permission, for compassion acceptance, and healing. The laying on of hands, anointing with oil, and washing feet are forms of ministry. Massage is a gift for the recipient and the ability to give it is a gift for the healer, improving the wellbeing of both. The therapist assumes the role of a servant to the client, who decides what they want from the massage. The client directs the experience even if no words are spoken. It is my duty to respect your boundaries and accommodate your preferences, both verbally and physically. I strive for a rhythmic flowing quality that is both invigorating and relaxing.
