Hello, and thank you for viewing my profile!
A little about me. I am very friendly, genuine, caring and respectful. I have a waist-level spinal cord injury and use a wheelchair. I keep myself fit and healthy swimming, rowing, and body weight training. I am globally travelled East and West, have a passion for learning about World cultures, traditions, nature, life, and enjoy good conversations, but not while giving massage treatments!
My massage background is a PhD in musculoskeletal health, diplomas in Classic Holistic, Indian Head and Indian Face massage, and currently studying for my Acupressure, and Shiatsu qualifications. I have over 10 years research experience in musculoskeletal health, over 4 years formal massage training, and over 25 years informal intuitive conscious touch massage experience with women of all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds.
My motivations for giving massage treatments are complex, originating many years ago when changing careers from Navy diver to commercial pilot. Briefly, female and empowerment and equality are central to my motivations. With these motivations in mind, massage has become my life passion and an immense honour and privilege. I view massage a sacred time for a woman, an opportunity to reclaim her very essence, and explore or develop her innate need to be touched in ways that fulfil her physical, psychological, emotional needs, health and wellbeing. To this end, I practice a form of Buddhism called 'mindfulness' combined with mindful breathing techniques and intuitive conscious touch to enhance the body-mind connection. I use a variety of massage techniques to give a personalised experience including therapeutic, remedial, deep tissue through to energising, soothing or blissfully relaxing.
I seek interesting massage partners of all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds who have a passion for massage and the considerable holistic health benefits if offers. My personal circumstances challenges visits, so I’ve created a safe, comfortable, discrete, stress-free environment in a beautifully natural tranquil setting to give massage in. I have all the usual equipment, including an electric massage table and the convenience of a private on-suite shower room.
