I started getting massages at Esalen, every April for seven years. I learned a lot there, and afterward it became hard to receive any but a nude massage. I soon discovered I preferred to be undraped completely. After the years at Esalen I had a hard time finding a good masseur/masseuse in VT who was comfortable with nudity, until I got multiple myeloma and the most effective antidote to chemo pain and discomfort was human touch.
