I've enjoyed giving and receiving various degrees of massage for as long as I can remember - well over 30 years.
Having played rugby myself back in the day, I knew the benefits so when my eldest son started playing I was able to refine my therapeutic skills further on his many match knocks for about 7 years in the 1990's. That prompted me to take a few short non-certificated courses over the years to improve technique and learn new skills including things like Champissage Indian Head massage and some reflexology, and (about 14 years ago) I also started casual training to include aromatherapy into the massage sessions.
The most challenging types of massage I've given was after my youngest son had a bad motorbike crash and was in hospital for about 4 months, during that time I worked almost daily with the physios giving extra treatments to help my son get the movement back into his shattered shoulder, hands, and leg - their initial assessment was for best case up to 20% mobility, but he now has over 85% mobility.
I know this may be a bit long, but I don't think the profile should be just a "sales tool" as I prefer to think of it more as an introduction. For me I assume others commentary is true until proved otherwise, as its there helping us to find out a bit about each other and see what interests or needs we may share.
Offline in the "real world", the vast majority of massages I've given or received have been with someone who was introduced or recommended by mutual acquaintances. Especially as not being certified I'd much rather stick to giving the simple stress relief type of massages, but if asked and they understand my status, I'll try to help others where I can with their injury problems.
