More About Me (Therapeutic Directory)
I was an artist in residence at the Gestalt Institute of Canada in the early '70's at Lake Cowichan in BC. I had some training there in massage therapy techniques. Some years later, in preparation to become part of the volunteer team in the Palliative Care Unit at Lions Gate Hospital, I received training in massage to assist in alleviating patient pain and distress. On a personal level, I have been fortunate to have been in relationships with loving, skilled partners from whom I have learned a great deal about massage and the significance of patient, caring touch for pleasure, healing and general well being. I can honestly say that I enjoy giving as much if not more than receiving . I am also very mindful of the importance of building trust, and the significance patience and of understanding and respecting personal boundaries.
