More About Me

I have been giving and practising massages through friendships and exchanges for 6+ years. I came to it through years of partaking in competitive contact sports and through my time training as a competitive athlete. This led to an exploration of self-massage and self muscular therapy which I then honed into a love for massage. I am a proponent of long stroke massages that combine soothing therapeutic strokes with intense and focused muscular handwork. I believe strongly in the connectivity of our bodies, and that all areas affect others--this is why one cannot ignore a tight oblique or a tense hamstring or Achilles. I am relaxed and friendly, with communication paramount before, during, and after the massage. Listening to who is under my hands is as important as what is taking place in the massage. It is the little comments like "that feels a little tight" that are indicators of where an issue lies. I also believe in the relaxing holisitic benefits of massage--and that body to body contact is a form of healing. I look forward to connecting with and making new massage friends!
