My whole adult life I've been touchy/feely; loved hugs and swapping massages with friends. I've realized it really nurtures an aspect of my mind/body that other activities don't. The last 20 years I've been with a partner who doesn't feel the same value of the healing power of touch as I do, and I have missed it dearly. I'm so excited to have stumbled across this site, to again have the prospect of connecting in this way with my fellow humans. Massage and other mindful/connecting touch settles me in a delightful way, and I love providing the same joy to others. Plus, my shoulders are always in knots and I feel so much better about life after a massage.
No training, but I've often been told I give great backrubs. Never given a whole-body massage, but am happy to expand my repertoire.
