I am currently enrolled in a massage therapy program. I really love it. I find giving a massage to be therapeutic to both the person receiving the massage and to myself giving the massage. It’s a great feeling to know I made someone feel good or that I relived an ache or pain. It’s also been a very awesome experience learning about the body through the perception of a massage therapist. Learning about the intricacies of the body has been very enlightening. You can relieve headaches working on the feet! That's amazing to me. My instructor has been in the field of massage therapy for over 20 years and I feel I am learning a lot. Having a class of younger folk and older folk really gives me a variety of body types to work on and the ability to practice necessary customization for each body type. I am learning and discovering a lot and am venturing to learn more so I can become a great massage therapist. Sports massage has become a new interest.
