I often gave my father shoulder and upper and middle back massages after dinner while I was growing up. Then after suffering a lower back muscle injury in my 20s, I became very attuned to the relationship between what my fingers could find within the muscle structures of partners and my own experiences with pain and tension. I have frequently been complimented for my natural talent in this area in relieving the discomfort of partners, particularly in their back and legs. I have had no formal training but have received the abundant gratitude of friends and partners.
