I had a girlfriend years ago who was an MT, and have had several friends who are/were MTs. I learned various things from each person, and have tried to practice that when possible. I also do Reiki. I love the connection with someone that I find when providing or receiving a massage, and I think I get as much from prov iding a massage as the person who is receiving it.
