Physical touch is a very important part of life. It enhances connection between people and is an excellent from of communication. - Massage is the natural expression of physical touch, using pressure, sound, aroma's, and good words to comfort and bring someone into healing, relieve tension, better self-awareness, and mutual inter-standing. Personally, I have been trying to become more 'touchy' in my every-day interactions with my friends and family; when I was younger I was somewhat stressed and neglected the importance of communicating in forms other than words: such as touch. Since coming this self-realisation, I have actively been trying to compensate by messaging my friends and family whenever I get a chance; be it a back-rub, hand, or just a scratch of the neck. From this everyday experience I have slowly improved both my skills and my confidence that my hands are doing a good work! I am happy to find new and interesting people to connect with. I try to keep myself in good condition, and maintain a healthy distance away from self-destructive behaviours.
