I was trained by my (trained but not licensed) therapist after learning to enjoy relaxing massage. He taught me Esalen style massage techniques. My understanding is that it's probably closest to Swedish, involving long strokes, a slow pace, and connectivity. After many exchanges and continued learning from him, I branched out and started doing exchanges with other friends and people I met on exchange sites. Have always had good experiences.
