Touch is so important to us all and I am very excited to be in a field where I can give a healing touch to people. Most of my life (as early as my teens) I've given bodywork as an amateur. I did a lot of energy work and moving along with sound therapy as an amateur. I would offer massage when people were together chilling or when someone was really stressed and I could see they needed it. I often was told I should learn how to do it professionally and looked at starting programs many times. I learned whatever I could from whomever I could including getting massages from other professional therapists. Most of them were relaxation or therapeutic massage at the chiropractor or events. I started my professional training and its taken the skills I have and made them awesome. I love the work I do and I still even out of school continue to learn from study and regularly getting massage from other professionals. It allows me to use the natural healing energy in me to help balance their body and energy and make people feel better. I've taken and read and some amateur study of eastern and western medicine and my school taught a combination of both building on what I know. I've received body work from a number of resources, different communities, and chiropractor massage therapists and energy healers. Now that I'm professionally working on massage, its been awesome!
