Just an enthusiast, if that’s the term: First learned from a platonic female family friend in high school—ancient history—“I’m going to teach you how to give a massage.” I got the pleasure/relief of getting a massage and so did she as i improved. My first massage exchange. Most subsequent relationships and a few friends over the years have been recipients. I’ve had a ton of professional work done and do my best to incorporate what I feel done to me. My tendency is always to seek “knots” in the back and work them out. For the rest of the body—it’s using what I’ve felt work for me. I am a responsive person-both giving and receiving. Since I didn’t see any other commentary option: I see a pro regularly for deep tissue; it’s neither fun nor cheap, but necessary. My tendency when receiving is to prefer firm—but someone who understands strength misapplied can damage. I appreciate a relaxation massage. My body type moves around from very lean to average body fat with athletic build. It’s easy to find muscle groups even when I’m softer. Still a competitive athlete. Seeking rewarding exchange for both parties: absolutely willing to be a practice body for student. Thanks for looking.
