I completed a 1000 hour program and practiced for 4 years before switching careers. My style is more of a slower, Swedish style in order to sink into the tissue without it fighting back. I try to follow where the tension leads me with some muscle tracing, while keeping the flow and continuity of the session. There was also a modality I enjoy dabbling in that is more of an energetic approach to deep tissue, but I have been told it feels similar to cranio-sacral therapy. Let me know if that's something you're interested in letting me practice, but know it is much slower work and not felt in the standard/expected way as with soft tissue manipulation.
