More About Me
I started learning from my father when I was about 15 or 16 in order to get some relief from chronic tension headaches, who had learned the skills for the same reason. I have also always been able to feel my energy and how it interacts with other people. When I got to college I discovered that I was pretty good at working on other people as well, and that my energy sense actually worked really well for finding tension points and kind of mapping out the system during massages, and working on friends and romantic partners became a normal part of my life. In my mid 20's I found a local massage therapist that was skilled in massage, physical therapy, and energy work, and was also willing to indulge my curiosity about what he was doing and why, and over the course of the next ten years or so I learned countless tips, tricks, and techniques. During my days as a road Rennie I often traded body work with other travelers, and I made friends with some massage therapists in MD that introduced me to craniosacral massage and I learned that I could easily tune into that layer of energy as well, and I have integrated those techniques for the last 10 years now. I looked into getting licensed on several occasions, but I could never justify the cost of the licensing in NY. I have never been confident that my own physical challenges would allow me to perform the work as a full-time job, and I have always been wary of turning something I love into a job.
