More About Me (Therapeutic Directory)
I have done one form of bodywork or another for 55 years. For Therapeutic work I primarily focus on Ortho-Bionomy(r) style proprioceptive re-education, but can draw on many other therapeutic styles as are needed for your well being. I enjoy trading with professionals and amateurs alike, sharing techniques and learning, and have trained dozens of therapists and amateurs alike. I live in Saratoga CA and can exchange pretty much anywhere in the south bay with ease.
I am a certified Tai Chi Chih and Seijaku instructor, and have several classes in the area. Having done martial arts for years when i was younger gives me a unique perspective on dealing with pain and injury. I had the unique opportunity to informally study with Prof Sig Kufferath and learn a bit about his restorative massage ( Seifukujitsu). Sig taught Jiu Jitsu in the same Dojo I studied Aikido, and between classes, He and I developed a friendship around exploring massage styles and healing after he saw me limping around after an Aikido class and called me over. The rest was a wonderful ongoing exploration.
Sig was always willing to help anyone who was interested in learning. There are several proponents and teachers of his style of work called Seifukujitsu if you need to approach your pain/injuries from that perspective. exclusively. Tony Janovich is the current ranking teacher in this art and we are lucky to have him in the Bay Area ( California)
