More About Me

I originally trained in a more unconventional style of massage which uses tecniques from Swedish massage, Remedial, Therapeutic and Deep Tissue massage, and combines the teachings and techniques of Oriental styles of massage such as Shiatsu, Tui Na, Thai massage and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi. I have found this course helped me to develop confidence in using my hands intuitively and helped me maintain a holistic view of body. I felt however there were some gaps in my knowledge so went on to other training. I qualified next in ITEC Holistic Massage, then Deep Tissue Massage, Accupressure chair massage, Hot and Cold Stone Massage, Natural Facelift Massage and then as a Master Reiki Practitioner. I am also currently completing case studies for Thai Massage and a Herbal Medicine Diploma. I work part-time at a Central London Spa, and also in a clinic in SE London as well as being freelance. I am very interested in the use of bodywork to return the body to correct posture and aid the release of physical/emotional tension held within body. I am currently reading about and rolfing and hellerwork and the importance of the connective tissue. I have just started a series of treatments in rolfing. Watch this space for developments! :)
