More About Me
With thirty years’ experience, I offer a unique style that focuses on ‘releasing and fixing’ areas of the body • I use a combination of extremely effective techniques (based upon Deep Tissue, Acupressure, Swedish, Breathwork, Reiki) in order to release muscular spasms and loosen sore muscles that are the direct result of stress, overuse, or injury, and the cause of the spasm and the experience of tension. My work reflects a long-standing interest in the interaction between body and mind and a personal belief that traditional and non-traditional methods are both complimentary and reciprocally informative. Originally from America, I moved to England in order to conduct doctoral research in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford. As well as having trained in different styles of bodywork, I have also trained in several modalities of clinical psychology and psychotherapy such as Gestalt, Cognitive/Behavioural, and Stress Management and has conducted primary research on the cognitive, immunological, and physiological processes involved in emotion. This combination of clinical and academic training have helped to develop a non-invasive sensitivity and insight into working with clients. Personal: happily married with two young children. Professional enquiries only please.
